Terms of Service

Welcome to EB-maths ("we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, educational platform, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.

We provide different account types to facilitate our Service. You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating an account.

• Student Accounts: Intended for children (typically aged 9–16). Students can access worksheets, learning tools, tracking features, and chat support.
• Parent Accounts:Designed for parents to monitor their child's progress, view AI-generated summaries, and manage billing and subscriptions.
• Affiliate Accounts: For partners promoting our Service. Affiliates are bound by our specific commission and payout structure.

Account sharing is strictly prohibited. We monitor concurrent sessions (e.g., via session IDs) to ensure compliance. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts suspected of unauthorized sharing or abuse.

We offer trial periods and paid subscriptions (such as 11+, Year 5, and Year 6 preparation plans). All pricing is clearly displayed at checkout.

• Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via the Stripe Customer Portal or your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing cycle.
• Refunds: Unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws, payments are non-refundable.

Our Service provides high-quality educational materials, exam preparation tools, and AI-assisted summaries. However, you acknowledge that:

• No Guarantee of Results: We do not guarantee any specific exam results, school admissions (including 11+ placement), or academic improvements. The platform is provided for practice and supplementary learning.
• AI Summaries: Any AI-generated feedback or summaries provided in the Parent Hub are designed to assist monitoring but may occasionally be imperfect. They should be reviewed contextually.

The Service is licensed for your personal, non-commercial, and educational use. You explicitly agree not to:

• Scrape, copy, reproduce, or reverse-engineer the platform, source code, or our educational worksheets.
• Resell, redistribute, or publicly display any materials from EB-maths without our explicit written consent.
• Use inappropriate language, spam, or abusive conduct in the support chat or anywhere else on the platform.

Registered affiliates earn commissions based on successful referrals tracked via our affiliate links and cookies. Commissions are paid out according to our affiliate schedule. We reserve the right to withhold payouts, invalidate referrals, or terminate affiliate accounts in cases of suspected fraud, self-referrals, or violations of these Terms.

All content on the Service, including text, graphics, logos, worksheets, software, and the "EB-maths" brand, is the exclusive property of EB-maths or its licensors and is protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EB-maths shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, platform downtime, data loss, or reliance on AI-generated content. We are not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure events or third-party hosting failures.

We provide support via our on-site chat and email. While we strive to respond promptly, we do not provide a guaranteed Service Level Agreement (SLA) or strict response times unless explicitly stated otherwise in a specific service plan.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. However, if you are a consumer residing in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the consumer protection laws of the country in which you are resident. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Netherlands, subject to mandatory local consumer rights.
